This is an early example, thus has the stainless bezel and is powered by a Felsa 4007N
The original Nautoscaph debuted in the 1960s and led to several alterations and configurations, there were almost twenty configurations of the original Nautoscaph, including a host of different bezel materials and colors, dial details, such as stick indices, coffin-shaped indices, numbers at 3, 6, 9, 12 and various other combinations.
Then, the Alsta Nautoscaph automatic was first released in 1970 and was immortalized by the 1975 blockbuster movie JAWS. Worn by Richard Dreyfuss as the character Matt Hooper in the classic movie, Jaws, this is the Alsta Nautoscaph dive watch.
The original “Jaws” watch, the Vintage Alsta Nautoscaph dive watch with a unique design, burly construction and seriously deep-water resistance certified to a depth of 999 Feet (30 ATM). It’s a streamlined and stylish diver wristwatch in a 36.3mm stainless steel case and rotating bezel. Screw-down case back and screw-down crown.
It is a self-winding watch powered by an Alstater Watch Co. movement with the durable caliber Felsa 4007N, 17 jewels, sweep second, date indicator (sets by changing 21-24h), Swiss made. Original black dial with coffin-shaped tritium lume indices and sword-shaped tritium lume hands, also white minute tracks.
It is coming with a vintage black rubber two-piece strap.
It is for sure a conversation piece and personal treasure! In good condition! Runs very well and keep great time!

We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust light, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
The condition is pre-owned.
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended.
